I will miss you!

My Grandma has passed away. I know that she's in a better place and in no pain. Grandma, I will miss you and always love you.

Wrist Update

So I am happy to announce that I have been cast free since March 16th. Although I did have a bit of a scare a couple of days after it came off thinking it was rebroken everything has been good. I'm starting to get the range of motion and mobility back. It still gets sore if I do a lot and overuse so I have been careful and not been overdoing it. I'm soooo happy not to have a cast and that everything healed fine. I will not be taking forgranted the fact that I have two working arms and hands it's a blessing. I am amazed and have a lot of respect for those people that have disabilities now.

Cards

So thanks to an awesome friend (Kathy) I have discovered Stampin Up and card making. I have to say I LOVE IT!!! I am having so much fun learning how to make cool homemade cards. Last year I actually made my christmas cards and at the moment I am making Easter Cards. I recently joined a Stampers 10 group hosted by my friend Chantal. It's so much fun we meet once a month on the first Friday of each month and we learn a technique and make a project of some sort. Last night was the monthly meeting for April. I learned a bunch of new techniques and made three cards. I ordered a bunch of supplies so that I can play around at home and recreate these techniques. I'm so excited. I hate that I have to wait a couple of weeks before I get the stuff. Here are some pictures of the cards that we made last night. Enjoy!

Good Friends

Throughout my life I have been blessed with some awesome roommates and close friends. I was reflecting on this as I was travelling on the greyhound on the weekend going to visit a good friend and her family for the weekend. Everyone that I've been blessed to have in my life has touched my life and helped me grow in some way and for that I'm grateful. I have had some fun time with you girls. Cast

So I have had the full cast on for about a week and a half now and I'm getting used to it sadly. Its amazing what I can do one handed like typing and I'm starting to get fast at it too. I will never again take for granted the fact that I have two arms. I'm still finding it pretty difficult to do a lot of things like opening a can (can't do this at all), showering, washing dishes, cleaning.....hmm everything. I'm counting the days until it comes off hopefully for good! Although it is a good way to get out of chores!!!!

Grattitude

So there are a lot of things that I am very grateful for right now. I thought I would make a little list on here since this is kind of like a journal:

- My membership in the church

- Family

- Wonderful good friends who help when needed and always listen

- Milk - I know this one's funny but I hadn't had milk for a week and a half and its sooo nice to have a jug in the house, thats allI've been drinking the last couple of days

-A house to live in and awesome roommates

-a job even if I complain about it

-to live in Canada and have rights and freedoms

-the temple - I wish that I could go more often I can't wait until the one in Calgary is built
